When I hear about a burger, I associate it with the McDonalds or Burger king burger with fries and, coke. And lot of people sitting around me in the restaurant.  People who go to McDonalds are the ones who want to have quick food that suits their pocket and fulfils their appetite. With that in mind, I entered Gourmet Burger kitchen restaurant. To my surprise it was a different experience.

At the entrance, there was waiter who guided us a to a table. And then he asked, "Have you been to Gourmet Burger before" ? This the question, they ask in Nandos. He explained us the menu and told us to place the order at the counter and pay at the same time. We had the voucher from moneysavingexpert 2nd burger for £ 1 pound that would help us to save money on the bill and enjoy the burger more.

Banana Milk Shake

The milk shake was in a giant steel glass that could be shared by two.

Chicken Satay Burger – Original size 6 ounce. This is like a burger with an oriental flavour. 

Puy lentil GBK – original size 6 ounce. This is a veggie burger and we hoped that it would be a good one.

We were surprised the veggie burger tasted really well.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed. There were couples, group as well as single. One women was ready a novel and eating the burger at the same time. There was group sitting adjacent to our table drinking the milk shake. GBK burger is very different than the McDonalds burger.  Many used the knife to cut the burger into pieces to eat it !!!
