Internet Explorer 6 – are you still using it

Bill Gates (Biography (a & E))Internet Explorer 6 was born on August 10, 2001 and had been a default browser for Windows XP and Windows 2003. It is still being used in most parts of the world either people are lazy not to upgrade or companies IT system do not support the newer versions of IE.

As per Wikipedia,

This version of Internet Explorer is widely derided for its security issues and lack of support for modern web standards, making frequent appearances in "worst tech products of all time" lists, with some publications labeling it as the "least secure software on the planet." .

Website  www.iecountdown.com has been tracking IE usage around the world. It is currently 12%.

Why move off of Internet Explorer 6?

There are many benefits of upgrading to a newer version of Internet Explorer – improved speed, tabbed browsing, and better privacy settings to name a few.

The web has changed significantly over the past 10 years. The browser has evolved to adapt to new web technologies, and the latest versions of Internet Explorer help protect you from new attacks and threats.

My suggestion would to upgrade to a new browser

  1. Google Chrome – They are increasing their market share …. probably they will / are behave like Microsoft
  2. Mozilla Firefox – They were the first to challenge dominance of Internet Explorer.
  3. Opera – They are an innovative browser. Firefox, Mozilla and Chrome copy Opera's functionalities.

Please help me to promote the change by sharing the post.
