Oven Baked Fish with soup or salad is a quick and easy meal.
Ingredients
* One Fish (Cod/Mackerel/Herring/)
* Green Chilles – 1 to 2 depending on preferred heat
* Ginger ( 1 inch piece)
* Garlic 1 -2 cloves
* Tamarind paste, if not available use lemon juice or vinegar
* Salt – as per taste
Steps:
Clean the fish thoroughly, place 3 to 4 slits on each side. Add salt and leave it aside for 5 to 10 minutes
Grind Green chillies, Ginger, Garlic, Tamarind and salt with some water to make a paste
Wash the fish with water to remove the salt and dry with kitchen towel.
Add paste into the slit of the fish first and spread along the entire length of the fish. Leave to marinate for 15 – 30 minutes
Meanwhile prepare a tray – cover it with aluminium foil. Leave a little fold of aluminum foil on one side to cover the fish.
Place the fish on the tray.
Preheat oven to 200 degree Celsius for 15 minutes
Place tray in the oven for 25 minutes. Monitor the Fish to see if it is cooked. If not, leave it for a little longer.
Take it out from oven and it is ready to eat.
Preferred drink with Oven Baked Fish is White Wine or Champagne.
Serve it Salad or Soup of your choice and make it a healthy meal.
