Breakfast News Presenters - Do they have X factor

ShareThis

Eamonn Holmes and Jacquie Beltrao - Sky Sunrise

They flirt with each other on TV quite often. It is fun to watch when Jacquie says "Stop it".

The element of fun keep the Sky news sunrise entertaining.

Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams

BBC Breakfast are consistent with their duo Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams. I am not sure whether they flirt but Sian Williams talks too much and Bill Turnbull sometimes does not know what to ask.

Shan Willams Bill Turnbull

It is more fun to watch the BBC guests when duo talk to them. I feel

Charlie Stayt & Susanna Reed

They are quite good and energectic presenters. I feel they like what they are doing and do it with passion.

Charlie Stayt Susanna Reed

Susanna Reed is popular on internet for her Sharon Stone like stance.

It is quite interesting that how much difference the presenters can make to the news.

Lady Gaga website get her latest

ShareThis
Lady Gaga or translated in Hindi Lady Sing Sing and not to call her Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. She made a perfect appearance in the Brit Awards 2010 with her eye catching and revealing clothes. The is getting a lot of attention with her unusual stage name and good singles she has been making.

I visited her official website ladygaga.com and it is a perfect monetised way to connect with the fans. Fans connect her with social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter and Myspace and keep in touch with what she is doing. Her fans can download music / videos, discuss about her on the forum. They buy her MonsterBalls tickets as well.

Tip:
A pop star should not only be talented singer but key to success is attract peoples' attention. Use technology to keep the fans engaged by use of social networking sites and keep the buzz ongoing.

Martin Sierra - You have got to dance

Martin Sierra - The man with big hair, big personality and big moves grew up in Norway with his mum, dad and 3 brothers.Martin Sierra He came to the UK to study at LIPA (Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts). Martin said he came to the UK, "with a suitcase and a dream."

When he first appeared on Got To Dance Martin made quite an entrance. He danced his heart out but only got one Gold Star from judge Adam Garcia. That was not good enough. Later Adam Garcia gave him a chance by persuading his fellow judges for Martin Sierra, a place in semi final. However he never made it to the final, b'cos he has to "Got to Dance" than perform routine.

Semi Final performance

The judges had good tips to be successful

1. Go back to basics: If you are not hitting the nail on its head, then find out what you to do make it work. If your skills are not up-to-speed, sharpen your skills.

2. Positive Attitude: Does positive attitude helps ? The answer is "Yes". But not without pt.1

3. Got to dance: You should know what people are expecting from you. You can perform a your routine, shake your hips and give a monkey performance. But listen to judges what they are looking in you. And deliver what they expect.

My Favourites to Win on Sky Got to Dance 2010

ShareThis
LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss BlackI have been watching the dance talent competition "Got to Dance" on Sky in the UK. It is good to see a lot of talented dancers who have been performing at their schools, institutions or towns shown on National Television. It presents them with an opportunity to showcase their talents to millions on TV and the internet. Furthermore, it gives the audience  an insight into the various forms of dance.

My favourites to win Got to Dance competition 2010 would be either

Matthew Koon - He dances with elegance, passion and innocence. Dance is about how a person feels and whether he is able to make the audience feel the same way. Matthew's dance always expresses a story, and takes the audience and the judges with him on his journey.I think he is unique and fascinating to watch.

The Box - This group has imagination, stage presence and cohesiveness which are essential ingredients in performing a dance act. They have their audiences spell bound with eyes wide open and leave them with a feeling of emptiness when they disappear back in the box.I think they are little wonders with lots of potential and the 'cute' factor.

One Billion Percent - What a figure

ShareThis

I feel mathematics, figures and English will be invented in popular shows like American Idol and people will start using it. Randy Jackson's quote, "I give one billion percent "Yes". Or Lious Walsh in X Factor, "It is one million percent - Yes from me". I pity the figure 100 (percent) which has to bear the weight of billion on its top.

Popularity of shows like these add phrases and words to English dictionary. Popular movie like Slumdog Millionaire has added the word "Slumdog" and "Jai Ho" in popular usage.

It is only a matter of time, "One billion percent" will be used commonly everywhere.

Watch the space. Jai Ho. Do you have funny quotes to share, that you think will be a candidate to join the English dictionary.

Princess Victoria Desiree of Sweden marries Daniel Westling

ShareThis

The Princess Diaries (Full Screen Edition)

Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree, the Crown Princess of Sweden, has married a commoner–her former personal trainer, Daniel Westling on Saturday (June 19, 2010).

Upon marriage, Westling, 36, was made as a Prince of Sweden. He then took the full title of His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden, Duke of Västergötland. This made him at par with his wife’s younger brother and former heir to the throne, His Royal Highness, Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland. Unlike in fairy tales, real life monarchy does not guarantee that a man marrying a princess will become a prince; much more use the titles of his wife.

What happens if Prince or Princess marries a commoner ?

Nowdays, the royal family members are more free to choose whom they wish to marry provided that their significant other isn't a Catholic. The younger royal generation prefers to find their match while studying at a chosen university, through friends at social gatherings etc.

However, one rule remains whether commoner or royalty, a woman marrying an heir or king of that nation will receive a courtesy title of "Princess or Queen" as a consort, she does not have any right to claim the throne. The crown will always go to any of their surviving offspring, if not then to a younger sibling of the King.

What catches peoples attention

ShareThis

When you are in a advertising world, it is very difficult to know what will catch peoples attention. And then engage you for next 30 seconds. As I was searching for answers, I came across a question which was posted on Yahoo Answers.

What can i do to catch a guys attention?

There is this one guy in my class who is soo hot and i want him to notice me and realize i'm into the same stuff, any suggestions ?
------
There is an interesting answer
Just try to be his friend at first, but don't look desperate, that is so unattractive, even to someone just looking for a friend. Play it cool and mention things casually. Even ask him for help with assignments or offer to help him with his, but don't be pushy. Keep this is mind, even though some men are shy, if they really want you, they will come to you.(Shy men will respond positively to the suggests I gave you.)

I have highlighted the key words which is sort of mantra to a good eye catching campaign. I would invite you look at the following ads and let me know

  1. Whether you will glance at the TV when the ads comes on
  2. Whether remembered the product after the ad disappeared

Ad - 1

Ad - 2

There are two theories to test

  1. What catches peoples attention ?
  2. Do people remember the product in the eye catching campaign ?
